On Saturday (November 7), BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman led the historical sovereignty rally in the capital to mark National Revolution and Solidarity Day.
The Prime Minister inaugurated the rally shortly after 3:00 PM in front of the BNP central office at Nayapaltan. With the participation of hundreds of thousands of leaders, activists, and supporters of the BNP and its associate organizations, the rally transformed into a human sea. At the time, amid chanting slogans, leaders and activists were seen carrying the red-and-green national flags of Bangladesh alongside placards featuring photos of BNP founder and martyred President Ziaur Rahman, former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, and Tarique Rahman.
Starting from the front of the BNP central office, the rally passed Kakrail, the Chief Justice’s residence, Hare Road, Minto Road, the Hotel InterContinental intersection, Banglamotor, and Farmgate before concluding at Manik Mia Avenue in front of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban (National Parliament House).

Leaders and activists from Dhaka City North and South BNP, as well as various units of the Dhaka division, participated in the rally.
The BNP is observing National Revolution and Solidarity Day freely after 20 long years. During the fascist regime, propaganda and historical distortions were carried out regarding this day, leaving the new generation in the dark about the events, impact, and historical significance of National Revolution and Solidarity Day. After assuming power, the BNP has gained the opportunity to present the true history of National Revolution and Solidarity Day to the younger generation.
